Nagasaki Junior College provides education intended to help the career development of mid-career professionals in the region. The adoption of the“Accelerated Program for the Revitalization of University Education”in 2015 was an opportunity to expand learning opportunities not only on campus but also in the local community. In 2020,the Confectionery Course was transferred from the Department of Food Science to the Department of Regional Symbiosis to further enhance regional activities that had been conducted in the past, and to expand the field of learning for students. When the new department was launched, the outbreak of Covid-19 led to restrictions upon students'learning both on and off campus. We planned to open the“Community and People”course, which is the core subject of the department,by offering snacks to healthcare professionals. In this study,we reflect upon what confectionery production for local people means to students, and we will apply it to the“ Community and People”activity in After Corona.
